In this live panel, I finally get what I’ve been begging for: people who disagree with me actually coming on mic to hash out the Idaho case, the Luigi Mangione case, Dylan and Bethany’s choices that night, and what the forensic documents actually say versus what TikTok thinks they say.

We start with the question everyone tiptoes around – did Bethany accidentally talk Dylan out of calling 911? – and what that would do to any friendship, especially when you’ve got a grieving dad (Steve) clawing for answers and the entire internet weighing in. From there, I pivot into Luigi Mangione, why I think he did it, why I think he wanted to get caught, and why I’m more furious at our healthcare system than I am interested in “Poor Luigi” discourse.

Then two creators who are newer to the case – but very invested – come up and challenge me on Dylan’s interviews, the mask description, the “bushy eyebrows,” the banister DNA, and the idea that one person could pull off four murders alone. Instead of screaming at each other in all caps, we do something radical: we pull up documents in real time, read them out loud, and walk through likelihood ratios, mixtures, “unknown male DNA,” and what inconclusive actually means.

We also talk about DoorDasher Molly, the “hammock in the bathroom” comment, how unreliable enhanced audio can be, and how brutal it is that the families often seem to get these documents the same time the rest of us do.
